Prince Philip had a terrible nickname for Meghan Markle.

We are well recognized that the relationship between members of the British royal family has always been difficult.

This dynasty, which is one of the most well-known and important in history, has undergone many changes over the years.

When Meghan Markle was welcomed into the family, reactions to Prince Harry’s choice of partner were mixed. Many people thought Meghan, who was divorced, wasn’t the ideal person for the beloved Prince, but the royals accepted her wholeheartedly.

Years after the couple married, a royal analyst has revealed the nickname that late Prince Philip gave Harry’s wife, and believe us, it is not flattering.

Given that Meghan and Wallis Simpson, the controversial wife of the late King Edward VIII, are both Americans and were divorced when they entered the royal family, the term alluded to potential similarities between them.

It is rumored that Prince Philip held a negative opinion of Meghan Markle, which he kept a secret until a book was released that gave insider information about the royal family.

American divorcee Wallis Simpson rose to become the Duchess of Windsor. When King Edward VIII decided to abdicate the throne in December 1936, just one year into his reign, so that she may marry him, she became one of the most controversial royal characters in modern history.

At the time, royals were not allowed to marry divorced people, a restriction that lasted until 2002, just three years before Prince Charles and Camilla married.

Following King Edward and Wallis Simpson’s marriage, they were barred from returning to Britain without the permission of his brother, the newly crowned King George VI, due to fears about probable public upheaval, as Vogue reported.

The couple’s years of exile were riddled with controversies. Among the others, they were pictured touring Nazi Germany and making the infamous Nazi salute upon meeting Adolf Hitler.

During an interview with GB News, royal biographer Ingrid Seward revealed Prince Philip’s point of view, claiming that he saw numerous similarities between Meghan Markle and Wallis Simpson. This prompted him to create a moniker for his grandson’s wife.

“I think that Prince Philip was very canny about people and he didn’t always see bad in people, he often tried to see the good in them,” he remarked.

“He couldn’t help but notice similarities between Meghan and Harry, as well as Edward and Ms Simpson, which is why he referred to her as the Duchess of Windsor. “Not to her face, but he used to call her DOW,” she explained.

According to Seward’s book ‘My Mother and I’, the Duke of Edinburgh was “cautious” about the former Suits actress and her prospective impact on the royal family.

Queen Elizabeth, on the other hand, was thought to have high expectations of Meghan.

The Sussexes resigned from their royal duties and left Britain behind. They chose sunny California because they wanted to live away from the attention and media.

However, after leaving Harry’s family, the two agreed to conduct numerous interviews, film a documentary, and Harry wrote a book called Spare, in which he divulged many secrets regarding the Firm’s members.

According to the Daily Express, Harry plans to visit the United Kingdom for the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, which will include a liturgy at St. Paul’s Cathedral on May 8. Meghan will not be accompanying him. She is anticipated to remain in the United States, citing fears about her safety and a desire to avoid stirring controversy.
