Kevin Costner’s rarely-seen youngest son, 15, makes his acting debut in his father’s movie.
Hayes, actor Kevin Costner’s 15-year-old son, will make his movie debut in his father’s upcoming passion project, a two-part Western titled Horizon: An American Saga.
His character, presumably representing Sienna Miller’s on-screen son, was seen in the film’s trailer disobeying his mother’s desires to hide with her in the basement while their home was being assaulted. Instead, Hayes’ character responds, “its fine. “I’m going to be with dad,” he says, closing the cellar door while a fire burns behind him.
The film is Costner’s fourth directorial attempt and his first in 20 years, following his 2003 Western Open Range.
Despite his involvement in his father’s film, little is known about Hayes’ role in the project. “He’s really good. “Hayes plays the namesake character that I play in the film,” Costner said of his son’s performance. “He’s 13 years old and the screenplay’s been around longer than that,” he told me.

Horizon: An American Saga would be constructed in four feature-length chapters, the first of which would be released in theaters on June 28. It is a moving examination of the ties that bind families, resiliency, and the spirit of adventure that defines Americans.
Costner is a seven-time father. “I am a provider at work. Rumors have it that Costner is in a relationship with singer Jewel.
Recently, the two were spotted together at a tennis tournament for the Inspiring Children Foundation held on Necker Island, the estate of Richard Branson.
The two flew to the Caribbean and spent almost a week together, according to TMZ.
The magazine was informed by an insider that “there was definitely something going on,” indicating that the couple did, in fact, take a holiday in the Caribbean together.
Jewel went above and beyond, mentioning Costner on social media. “It’s an incredible time, and one I use to relax, rest, and play with my son!” she said about the tennis fundraiser held on Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands.
