The ‘sausage’ fingers of King Charles raise suspicions Even as a baby, the Queen remarked that his hands were “interesting.”
The tragic death of Queen Elizabeth II brought about upheavals in the British Royal family. William and Kate were given the titles of Prince and Princess of Wales, and Prince Charles was thus crowned King Charles III.
The newly installed King addressed the nation in an impassioned speech, paying eloquent tribute to his late mother and everything that she had accomplished for the nation and its citizens over her 70-year reign.
“Her dedication and devotion as Sovereign never wavered, through times of change and progress, through times of celebration and happiness, and through times of sadness and loss,” King Charles remarked, adding a few sentimental words for his wife of 17 years, Camilla, who becomes Queen Consort.
“I am confident that she will bring the unwavering commitment to duty on which I have come to rely so much to the demands of her new role.”
Even though the country and Commonwealth were in mourning, Charles continued, people would always “remember and draw strength from the light of her example.”
Other royals expressed their sorrow over the Queen’s departure as well. One of them was Prince Harry. Harry said, “Granny, while this final parting brings us great sadness, I am forever grateful for all of our first meetings – from my earliest childhood memories with you, to meeting you for the first time as my Commander-in-Chief, to the first time you met my darling wife and hugged your beloved great-grandchildren.”
“I cherish these times shared with you, as well as the many other special moments between,” he continued. Not just by us, but by everyone in the entire planet, you are already dearly missed.
We now honor my father in his new capacity as King Charles III when it comes to first encounters.
Over the years, Queen Elizabeth both participated in and saw the making of history. 15 different prime ministers served throughout her administration, from Winston Churchill to the recently appointed Liz Truss. Shortly before she passed away, the late Queen invited Truss to her vacation residence, Balmoral Castle, in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, fulfilling her final responsibility as a monarch.
Senior MPs including Truss took an updated oath of fealty to King Charles.
Photos of King Charles’ fingers as he ascends to the throne raise questions about his health.
In particular, the King’s fingers appear bloated, yet it turns out that he was born with that condition.
Charles informed a friend in a letter that he had become a parent after William was born. “I can’t tell you how excited and proud I am,” he added in the letter. He actually did have banger fingers that are just like mine, according to Howard Hodgson’s biography Charles, The Man Who Will Be King.
“The infant is adorable, and we are really proud of him. “For a baby, he has an interesting pair of hands,” Queen Elizabeth said in a letter.
They are pretty huge, but unlike mine and most definitely unlike his father’s, they have long, fine fingers. What they develop into will be intriguing to watch. It still seems surreal to me that I have my own child.
However, once he was crowned King, medical professionals expressed worries about his health. Speaking to the Daily Star, Dr. Gareth Nye, Senior Lecturer at the University of Chester, suggested that King Charles’ swollen fingers could be the result of oedema or fluid retention.
According to Nye, oedema is a disorder in which the body begins to hold fluid in the limbs, typically the legs and ankles but also the fingers, which makes them swell. “Oedema is a common disorder that primarily affects people over the age of 65 due to the restricted ability for fluid control.”
He continued, “To see if this is the cause, pressing the swollen area for about 15 seconds would cause a depression in the area.”
His fingers can also be an indication of arthritis.
“There are no immediate health issues to be inferred from his swollen fingers, and they are most likely a sign of his advanced age;” Dr. Gareth Nye came to an end.
