The last things Prince William ever said to Diana broke our hearts.

Everyone was startled to learn of Princess Diana’s death. The “People’s Princess” was mourned by millions of people throughout the world, and her funeral became the most watched broadcast in history. Many folks thought they’d lost a relative. However, this was the case for some persons.

When their mother died when they were young, Prince William and Prince Harry famously walked behind her casket as she was laid to rest.

The accident occurred when the brothers were at Balmoral, and what transpired the following day was nothing short of shocking.

Prince William and Prince Harry spoke with their mother the day before she was murdered in a terrible vehicle accident in Paris. In an interview, the Prince mentioned their mother.

Princess Diana’s car was hit at the Pont de l’Alma tunnel in Paris, France, at roughly 12.23 a.m. on August 31, 1997. She was followed by a driver and security as she drove away from the Ritz Hotel with her lover, Egyptian-born film mogul Dodi Fayed.

They collided at high speed in the Paris tunnel while being pursued by paparazzi photographers.

According to Howard Hodgson, a biographer and the author of Charles: The Man Who Will Be King in 2007, Diana believed Queen Elizabeth and Charles wanted to separate her from her children.

According to Hodgson, “she was well aware that the Queen had the constitutional right and authority under common law to take control of both boys’ care and education.”

As a result, if she decides to cut all ties with the Royal Family, Diana might become or select the boys’ guardian, who would most likely be their father. Diana might be kicked out of the group if this happens.

According to Hodgson, Queen Elizabeth never intended to divorce Diana from her sons. Diana, on the other hand, believed the Queen and Charles “had already hatched such a plot and were only waiting for the right moment to execute it.”

Whether Diana was close to her home or halfway over the world, William, Harry, and her maintained in touch. It was the same evening on August 30, 1997, when she called her kids from Paris.

In the documentary Diana, Our Mother: Her Life and Legacy, William and Harry disclosed more about their last discussion with their mother, but Harry stated he couldn’t remember what they talked about.

But all I can think about is how short the call was for the rest of my life. According to the now-divorced Duke of Sussex, “the things I would have said to my mother if I had known that was the last time I would talk to her.”
