Morgan Freeman, 86, Experiences Serious Health Concern

A press trip to the UK that Morgan Freeman was scheduled to take with the Special Ops: Lioness cast had to be cancelled due to illness.

The 86-year-old American actor made the decision to stay in the country after experiencing a “fever” and doctors suspecting a “contagious infection.”

He had intended to travel to London to promote Special Ops: Lioness with co-stars Zoe Saldana and Nicole Kidman.

Tuesday’s Paramount+ show screening was attended by Zoe, Nicole, and Morgan, however Morgan remained in the US and was unable to attend any of their press conferences.

Former co-host of The One Show with Morgan, Alex Jones, claimed she was “gutted” he couldn’t join them this time.

‘Morgan has a fever and his doctor feared he had a contagious infection, so he cancelled his vacation,’ his representative said in a statement to MailOnline. He is now fine.

Morgan is putting a lot of effort into getting his new Paramount+ series, Special Ops: Lioness, ready for its release while having fibromyalgia.

He attended a photocell at IET London on Tuesday before joining his co-stars Zoe and Nicole for a screening at Tate Britain.

In this action-packed spy thriller based on a real-life CIA program, Marine Joe (Zoe) struggles to maintain a balance between her personal and professional lives while acting as the CIA’s frontline agent in the war on terror.

The series, which will be written by Taylor Sheridan, who is most known for his westerns, will star Morgan, Zoe, and Nicole as well as Laysla De Oliveira and Michael Kelly.

Morgan will play US Secretary of State Edwin Mullins in the much-anticipated series’ July 23 launch.

In The Lioness Program, Zoe portrays Joe, the station head who is in charge of preparing her squad of female covert agents for the risks they would encounter.

In an effort to stop another 9/11, Cruz (De Oliveira), an aggressive Marine Raider, is recruited by Nicole’s character, Kaitlyn Meade of the CIA, to work covertly alongside Joe.

Amrohi, played by Bassem Youssef, is a billionaire businessman with ties to terrorism who, after spending decades rebuilding the Middle East, turned around to benefit from the wars that tore it apart. He ascended from poverty to wealth via ethical business practices.

Zoe and Nicole served as executive producers of the program, which was created by MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios for Paramount+.

Including, among others, Dave Annable, Hannah Love Lanier, Stephanie Nur, Austin Hébert, James Jordan, and Jonah Wharton.

The spy thriller’s first two episodes will premiere on July 23 on Paramount+.

On September 3, the last episode will air, after which fresh ones will air every week.
