The Mahavishnu Orchestra, Chick Corea, Stanley Clarke, Miles Davis, and John Coltrane were all introduced to me when I was 15 years old, and I grew up loving James Brown, Motown, Jimi Hendrix, and Led Zeppelin to death. I was unable to swap it out for anything.

“All I could think about was music, so I immersed myself in it. I worked on my craft, attended every lesson I could find, listened to every record, and hung out anywhere I could find live music. I gave it my all. And that’s pretty much who I am as a person and behave in practically every situation.

It wasn’t always simple to work with Cowell, who is regarded as the strictest judge of all. Jackson revealed that they had to take a two-hour break during one of the programmes because Cowell was rude to one of the competitors.
