Before she met Prince William, Kate Middleton dated a number of men, with one of them allegedly “breaking her heart.”
When Prince William and Kate were both attending the University of St. Andrews in Scotland as students, their romance began.
Kate once recalled their initial meeting, saying, “I actually flushed bright crimson when I saw you and scooted off feeling extremely nervous about seeing you.
It took some time for us to get to know each other because William wasn’t around for a significant portion of the first few months, starting with Fresher’s Week.
As their relationship developed, they were the centre of media interest. Kate even appeared in public with the Royals and went to the Sovereign’s Parade at the Royal Military Academy with her family, in which William participated.
And the two divorced in 2007, just as everyone anticipated a royal wedding.
Both Kate and William reflected on their breakup and said it was really beneficial for them since it let them to “find themselves.” According to The Telegraph, Kate even admitted that “you can get quite consumed by a relationship when you’re younger.”
After rekindling their romance in 2008, William proposed to Kate in 2010 while travelling to Kenya, using the engagement diamond that belonged to his late mother.
Before the pair revealed their engagement, Kate went by the monikers “Waity Katie” and “Lazy Katie.” Officials at Buckingham Palace claim that it was an allusion to Middleton’s recent decision to resign from her position in order to “prepare for her future life.”
Kate dated various people before to meeting William and beginning a relationship with him.
Willem Marx, whom she allegedly met in 2000 while attending Marlborough College, is said to have been her first love. After that, they parted ways amicably, and according to rumours, he was even invited to her subsequent wedding to William.
The Telegraph claimed a month before the Prince and Princess’ wedding that Willem Marx, Kate Middleton’s ex-boyfriend, had had better success getting an invitation to the royal wedding than Carly Massy-Birch, Prince William’s first college sweetheart. Marx was even questioned about it, and his response was, “Who told you that I had been invited?” with the addition that it was a “false assertion.”
She then allegedly destroyed her heart when she dated Harry Blakelock.
According to a source who spoke to the Daily Mail in 2020, “Kate was really hung up about Harry when she arrived in Florence.”
He appeared to have messed her up a lot because she talked about him all the time. When they were at school, he appeared to come and go with her, and she was constantly thinking of ways to get him back. He was also in Florence at the same time, but nothing seems to have transpired from what I recall.
Later, he wed a friend of Kate’s.
Rupert Finch, who was in his final year of law school when he and Kate Middleton started dating in 2001, was another one of Kate’s loves. Less than two years of dating later, the two remained close friends and attended each other’s weddings.
Despite the challenges they had early on in their relationship, Kate finally found true love with William, and they remained together.
