The royal family wants Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to be “sitting in Iceland” at the coronation, a friend of mine said.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been officially invited to the coronation of King Charles and Camilla, which will take place on May 6. Their son Archie’s birthday falls on the day of the event, but it is unknown if the soon to be 4-year-old and his sister Lilibet will also be there for their grandfather’s special day.
It’s logical to presume that Harry and Meghan’s interactions with the Royal Family are less than ideal. Between the Netflix series, the various interviews, and Harry’s book, Spare, a great deal has been said about people like Prince William, Kate Middleton, King Charles, & Camilla.
Many people are now speculating about the drama that will arise if Harry and Meghan attend the coronation. According to The Daily Mail, several members of the Royal Family have already decided not to associate with the couple beyond May 6. They should also take the farthest distant seats possible.
King Charles, Camilla, the Queen Consort, Prince William, & Kate Middleton were among the royals who received harsh criticism in Harry’s book Spare. The possibility that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may attend Charles’ coronation on May 6 was officially dismissed last week.
The duke has recently received email correspondence regarding the coronation from His Majesty’s administration, I can confirm, a couple spokeswoman said. The Duke and Duchess’ presence will not be decided immediately.
Even though their relationship still seems to be seriously damaged, King Charles undoubtedly wants his son to be there for his important day. Also, it appears that some members of the Royal Family are not pleased with Prince Harry and Meghan’s potential attendance at the coronation.
A spokesman for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle just stated that they had been asked to vacate their home at Frogmore Cottage. Only a few days after Harry’s memoir was published, King Charles reportedly decided to close the Sussexes’ British base.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have a history of receiving Princess Eugenie’s backing. She is said to be the only royal to have visited them in their Montecito, California, home.
Prince Harry and Meghan would likely spend a lot of time with Eugenie if they were to attend the coronation, but it appears that other family members do not want to contact with them.
Several relatives would give Harry and Meghan the “cold shoulder,” according to a royal family friend who spoke with the Daily Mail.
I hope they’ll be seated in Iceland, one of them added, according to the family friend.
That is hardly surprising given how unfavorable Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been towards the Royal Family. Meghan didn’t hold back when she made a number of surprising remarks during the couple’s participation in the now-famous Oprah interview after they had moved permanently out of the UK. She stated that the Duchess was silent when she requested for help while battling poor mental health. She stated that a “unnamed royal” had asked about the likely skin tone of the then-unborn Archie.
Paul Burrell, Princess Diana’s friend and former butler, has made the assumption that the two may not travel to the coronation together.
It would be “extremely awkward” when Prince Harry and Meghan reunite with the Royal Family, according to Burrell, who was speaking with Express.
Because she would have to face the family she had thrown under the bus, he said, I don’t think Meghan Markle is brave or strong enough to be there.
I think Prince Harry may go alone, she’s probably told him she won’t be there with him if he does go.
