Terrible news regarding Sylvester Stallone, the adored actor
Rocky IV, the fourth instalment of the well-known Rocky trilogy, is one of the best boxing movies ever made, having received 9 wins and 6 nominations. The main character, Rocky, seeks vengeance for the death of his friend Apollo Creed in the movie, which was written and directed by Sylvester Stallone. Rocky will face Ivan Drago, a Russian boxer who has undergone scientific training and high-tech equipment, in the bout. Rocky feels guilty after Drago is tragically slain during the fight.
Years after the movie’s debut, Stallone has now disclosed a startling fact regarding one of the scenes.
Specifically, he received some serious blows from Dolph Lundgren while filming and had to be brought to the hospital.
Prior to the release of a newly edited version of the movie, Stallone commented on it by saying, “In the first round, where he knocked me down, that is for real.
He crushed me, and although I was unaware of it at the time, later that night my heart began to swell.
He added, “Lundgren had bruised the perio cardiac sac, which is when the heart touches the chest, similar to when your chest hits the steering wheel in a car accident. My heart rate increased to 260. They anticipated that I would converse with angels.
He was actually admitted to St. John’s Hospital in Santa Monica, California, for critical treatment. He spent nine days in the hospital.
Stallone stated, “I knew I was in trouble when I showed up and nuns met you at the ICU. The nuns prayed for me.
The chest blow was included in the movie because, in the words of Stallone, “How could you possible rule that out?”
