In the ‘Spare’ book, Prince Harry shares Kate’s furious text to Meghan Markle days before the wedding

Many argue that the problems with the British royal family began when the Sussexes decided they had had enough of their lives as working royals and made the shocking decision to resign from their duties, which no one in the family was happy about.

However, according to Harry and Meghan, the problems began much earlier.

According to reports, Queen Elizabeth was disappointed in Prince Harry and Meghan’s decision to leave the country, but she wished them well, which Charles and William could not say about their son and brother.

Things went downhill after Prince Harry and Meghan’s all-access interview with Oprah Winfrey, during which they made several accusations. They claimed, among other things, that Kate made Meghan Markle cry on the day of her wedding, which the Duke of Sussex confirmed in his memoir Spare.

“It really hurt my feelings,” Meghan said to Oprah about the incident. The wedding week was extremely demanding. And she was upset about something, but she accepted responsibility for it and apologized. And she brought me flowers and an apology note.

According to Prince Harry, Kate Middleton was dissatisfied with Princess Charlotte’s flower-girl dress.

Although Kate claimed her daughter was upset because the dress was “too big, too long, too baggy,” she refused to meet with Meghan Markle’s tailor at Kensington Palace to have it fixed.

“Meghan Markle inquired as to whether Kate was aware of what was going on right now. “She’s with her father,” Prince Harry explained. “Kate Middleton stated that she was aware, but the dresses. And the wedding is just four days away!”

“I’m at a loss for words. Please take Charlotte to see Ajay if the dress does not fit. “He’s been waiting all day,” Meghan, according to Harry, texted Kate.

“Fine,” Kate Middleton replied.

When Prince Harry returned home, he discovered his then-future wife sobbing on the floor. “It was intolerable, but only for a short time. I assured Kate that she had not intended any harm.”

Authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand claimed in their book Finding Freedom that “Meghan Markle would agree with the assessment that the duchesses were not the best of friends,” and that “their relationship hadn’t progressed much since Meghan Markle was Harry’s girlfriend.”

They claim Kate Middleton was unwelcoming and did not take Meghan Markle under her wing as most expected. She, more than anyone else in the family, understood what it was like to be a ‘newcomer’ to the Firm.

“Meghan Markle was disappointed that she and Kate Middleton hadn’t bonded over their shared position,” Durand and Scobie wrote, adding that “Meghan Markle would far rather have had Kate check in on her during the most difficult times with the press.”
