Kate Middleton became aware of the “awful burden” before divorcing Prince William in 2007

Prince William & Kate Middleton have been married for more than 11 years after first getting to know each other in college. Of course, their relationship hasn’t always been smooth sailing; in fact, William and Kate ended their engagement in 2007.

There was a lot of speculation at the time regarding the precise reason for their breakup. When Kate married a royal, she had to give up a lot of her own ambitions. A royal expert has now presented the public with a new explanation for the couple’s breakup in 2007.

According to Judy Wade, a former royal correspondent for Hello! Magazine, Kate realized one significant “burden” about Prince William and his extraordinary life. But in the end, it helped her to become stronger and more confident than she had been.

Many of us dreamed as children of living the life of a king or princess. While some wonder what it would be like to be born into the Royal Family, others aspire to wed a prince or princess someday.

For a very, very small percentage of the populace as a whole, that goal is achieved. Consider Meghan Markle, who wed Prince Harry and earned the title of princess. Kate Middleton outdid herself during this time and will eventually become the Queen. That naturally entails abandoning any plans for leading a “normal” life and devoting everything to the Crown and all of its engagements and obligations.

But according to reports, Kate Middleton was on the verge of making a decision that would have drastically changed her life because of the pressure of her royal duties.

Wade asserts that Kate had only recently realized how drastically altering joining the senior Royal Family would be for her lifestyle.

She might have known the terrible burden she would have carried. “Marrying a royal is a life sentence,” Wade continued.

Prince William was assigned to the Household Cavalry in Dorset at the time, while Kate was residing in London. As a result, they frequently split up. William and Kate discussed their breakup in 2007 in the video used to announce their engagement.

Prince William admitted in their engagement interview that “we did split up for a while.” However, that was simply a result of the fact that we both had very young ages, were in college, were still figuring ourselves out, had various personalities, etc.

“I think I wasn’t too happy about it at the time, but it really made me a stronger person,” Kate continued.

You may discover things about yourself that you did not know. Or, in my opinion, a relationship can completely consume you when you’re younger. Even though I didn’t realize it at the time, I now see how much I treasured that time for myself.
