In an emotional video, Celine Dion finally opens up about her health issues, and she asks for your prayers.

Celine Dion eventually figured out the root of all of her health issues.

Celine Dion revealed the primary cause of her health issues in an emotional video that she shared on Instagram on Thursday, December 8. Celine Dion will have to cancel all of her appearances on her European tour for the upcoming year due to the recently found health condition.

“Hello to all of you. I apologize for the delay in getting in touch with you. In the video, Dion added, “I can’t wait to be on stage talking to you all in person. I miss you all so much.”

“As you are aware, I have always been transparent. Previously, I wasn’t prepared to share anything, but now I am. I have been struggling with health issues for a while, and I find it quite tough to talk about all that I’ve been going through and to face these obstacles.

“I was just diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome, a neurological ailment that affects around one in a million people. It is an extremely rare condition. We now know that this is the source of all of my spasms, even though we’re still learning a lot about this uncommon ailment. Regretfully, these spasms interfere with every part of my everyday existence; they can occasionally make it difficult for me to walk and prevent me from using my vocal chords to sing as I usually do.

According to the National Institutes of Health, stiff-person syndrome, or SPS, is an uncommon neurological condition that shares some characteristics with an autoimmune disease.

Due to health concerns, the singer had to postpone her tour dates.

She choked and stated, “It hurts me to tell you today that this means I won’t be ready to restart my tour in Europe in February.” “My precious children are supporting and giving me hope, and I have a great team of doctors working alongside me to help me get better.”

Celine admits that it’s difficult to get better.

She stated, “I have to admit it’s been a struggle, but I’m working hard with my sports medicine therapist every day to build back my strength and my ability to perform again.” Singing is all I know. I’ve always done this, and it’s my favourite thing to do.

“I really do miss you.” I miss playing for you all on stage and getting to see you all. I always give it my best when I perform, but right now my health allows me to give it to you,” she went on.

Dion thanked her fans as she concluded her speech on a positive note.

As her address came to an end, Dion added a hopeful note and expressed her sincere gratitude to her followers on social media: “I want to thank you so much for your encouraging wishes, love, and support on my social media.” I really appreciate this,” she remarked. “Look after oneself. Stay healthy. I sincerely want to see you all again soon because I adore you all so much.

In an April Instagram video, she stated, “I’m taking medication and receiving treatment from my doctors, but I’m still having some spasms and it’s taking a lot longer for me to recover than I had hoped.”

The National Institutes of Health stated on their website that “SPS is characterized by fluctuating muscle rigidity in the trunk and limbs and a heightened sensitivity to stimuli such as noise, touch, and emotional distress, which can set off muscle spasms.” “Abnormal postures are indicative of the disease; these include hunching over and stiffening.”

This enigmatic syndrome affects women twice as often as males. According to the institute, loud noises might potentially cause spasms or falls.

Although the exact aetiology of SPS is unknown, the NIH adds that it “is frequently misdiagnosed as Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia, psychosomatic illness, or anxiety and phobia.”

The tour dates have been rearranged for the first two quarters of 2024.

We’ll pray for her and hope that she heals as soon as possible. Your lovely voice is missed!
