The actress Shannen Doherty has been candid about her cancer diagnosis and care, but she has just shared some devastating news. She wrote on Instagram on January 5th, “My CT scan showed Mets in my brain.”
Radiation therapy is currently being used to treat her brain cancer. On January 12th, she received her first radiation treatment. “My fear is obvious,” she acknowledged. “I have severe claustrophobia, so my life was quite hectic.”
Doherty wrote a letter to her physicians thanking them despite her suffering, saying, “I am fortunate as I have fantastic doctors like Dr. Amin Mirahdi and the amazing technologists at Cedar Sinai.”
But that anxiety, that instability, and that timing may be what cancer looks like. She also attached a video of herself receiving radiation in which she showed no signs of concealing her dread.
In 2015, Doherty received his initial cancer diagnosis. The metastatic breast cancer that led to her diagnosis. Doherty was deemed cancer-free in 2017 following radiation therapy, chemotherapy, and a single mastectomy.

Doherty announced the end of her 11-year marriage to Kurt Iswarienko in April 2023, three months after receiving a diagnosis of brain cancer and starting treatment. He seemed “intimately involved” with his publicist, according to reports.
