“WHILE PLAYING GOLF WITH A FRIEND WHEN PRINCE WILLIAM WAS YOUNGER, HE GOT HIT BY A SEVEN-IRON GOLF CLUB, CAUSING THE SCAR ON HIS FOREHEAD. He underwent surgery at Great Ormond Street Hospital for a depressed fracture of the skull. His “Harry Potter Scar,” as he refers to it” – KAYLA ADAMS

Prince William fractured his skull in an accident involving a golf club when he was still very young.

According to Hello Magazine, the future king was struck in the head by a golf club while playing with friends at William’s Wokingham School in 1991.

He underwent surgery at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London, where he remained overnight following the roughly 70-minute procedure. His mother, the late princess Diana, accompanied him, and the following day, his brother Harry paid him his first visit.

Charles wasn’t with William during the procedure because he was at an opera, but the magazine claims that he kept in close contact with the medical staff.

He was reported to have said, “I got hit by a golf club when I was playing golf with a friend of mine.”

The next thing I knew, I was hit in the head by a seven-iron that appeared out of nowhere as we were on a putting green.

Prince William said of the scar left behind by the injury and the subsequent surgery, “It glows sometimes, and some people notice it, and other times they don’t notice it at all.”

It is referred to as “his Harry Potter scar” by him.
