Following a cancer diagnosis, Jane Fonda claims that she is “not afraid of death” despite having a limited time left.
In an intimate and thought-provoking conversation, real-life great Jane Fonda expressed her profound grasp of life’s brevity and her unyielding commitment to utilise her remaining time on Earth to support critical causes near to her heart.
Fonda, at eighty-four, has spent her whole life in the spotlight, captivating audiences all over the world with her charisma and brilliance. As she approaches the conclusion of her life, she hopes to leave a lasting mark by inspiring other prominent individuals to use their platforms to do good.
During this candid chat, the seasoned actress openly stated that she was not frightened of death since she knew it may come sooner rather than later.
In an open chat with Entertainment Tonight, Fonda, who was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin lymphoma the previous year, stated, “I am acutely aware that my time on this Earth is limited.”
She joked about how, as time passes, one becomes more aware of the past rather than the future. It’s simply a question of common sense. Fonda, a great supporter of transparency and honesty, stated that she would prefer chemotherapy as part of her cancer treatment plan.
She said on Instagram: “Dear friends, there is something intimate I feel compelled to share.” Following a non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma diagnosis, I began chemotherapy.
She stated, “I consider myself quite fortunate because around 80% of individuals survive this condition. Fortunately, this sort of cancer is very curable. I am fortunate to have access to world-class medical personnel and cutting-edge treatments.
I am aware, however, that my case is unusual. It’s outrageous that other American families are suffering disease while being denied access to my wonderful healthcare. Fonda confidently told Entertainment Tonight, “I am ready.” I’ve had a life full with miracles and blessings.
Even though I’m sad to depart, I know the time to leave this world is approaching. She has expressed her honest hope that people will recognise the importance of using their platforms and influence to advance great causes at this stage in their life.
