After a difficult divorce, Kevin Costner, 67, discovered love again.—you might know her.

Kevin Costner has always spoken fondly of his now-ex-wife Christine Baumgartner, so the news of their divorce after 19 years of marriage surprised not only the couple’s admirers, but also the actor himself.

According to sources close to the couple, Christine, who filed for divorce, allegedly threatened to leave her husband if he continued to be gone from home due to work.

Baumgartner apparently found Costner’s absence ‘hard’ and wanted him to spend more time at home with his family in Santa Barbara.

Kevin is not present for a lot of the filming. She has found his absence to be quite difficult, according to a source. According to a different insider, Costner was shocked to learn that his wife was divorcing him even though he knew she wasn’t happy in their union.

“Christine is against him devoting himself to yet another endeavor. Since last year, he has been filming Horizon nonstop. She wasn’t pleased with it, according to a source.

Another insider said, “His career has sometimes taken precedence over his home life.”

“All of this accomplishment and excitement about the new initiative likely diverted his attention away from his family more than he knew. Because it did not appear that this would change and was going to worsen, it created strain at home,” the person noted.

Christine alleged “irreconcilable differences,” and a representative for the actor stated, “It is with great sadness that circumstances beyond Mr. Costner’s control have resulted in Mr. Costner having to participate in a dissolution of marriage action.”

“We ask that his, Christine’s and their children’s privacy be respected as they navigate this difficult time.”

Baumgartner sought $161,000 a month in child support for their three children: Cayden Wyatt, 15, Hayes Logan, 14, and Grace Avery, 13.

Baumgartner went to court to try to guarantee this income, but it was Costner who emerged victorious, according to his supporters, despite the actor’s claim that there were ‘no victors’ in the bruising dispute.

A judge in Santa Barbara reduced Baumgartner’s child support payments to $63,000 per month, which is less than half of the $129,000 she presently receives and significantly less than the $161,000 she requested.

“When you have a lifelong relationship with someone, there is no winner.””It’s this big, crazy thing called life and how it unravels so quickly,” the actor told Fox News Digital.

“One minute you feel like you’re on top of the world, and then you realize how, you know, how vulnerable you are,” he said.

However, after a difficult spell, the Yellowstone star seemed to have found new love.

There has been talk that Costner is dating singer Jewel.

The 2 were recently photographed together at a tennis tournament for Richard Branson’s Inspiring Children Foundation on Necker Island.

According to TMZ, the two flew to the Caribbean and spent almost a week together.

An insider told the magazine, “There was definitely something going on,” revealing that the couple did indeed spend their vacation in the Caribbean together.

Jewel went above and beyond, mentioning Costner on social media. “It’s a wonderful time, and one I use to relax, rest, & play with my son!” she said of the tennis fundraiser on Necker Island, British Virgin Islands. This year, @kevincostnermodernwest was generous enough to mentor our young people.”

Jewel is “picky,” according to a source, and “she wants a good man, and Kevin fits the bill,” according to the magazine.
