Cole Brings Plenty: Yellowstone 1923 actor discovered dead days after disappearance
Cole Brings Plenty, the actor who played Pete Plenty Clouds on the Yellowstone spinoff series 1923, was discovered dead in Kansas days after being reported missing. He was 27.
According to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, his body was discovered in a forested location late Friday morning.
Deputies were summoned to the scene after receiving reports of an empty car.
According to the Sheriff’s statement, Crime site Investigators and the Medical Examiner are on the site, and the investigation is still underway.
Brings plenty attended Haskell Indian Nations University in Kansas as a media student. He was a suspect in a case involving domestic abuse and had been missing since March 31.
Authorities in the area said that on Sunday morning, they heard a woman yelling for assistance from an apartment in Lawrence. Brings Plenty had apparently left the site and was believed to be traveling south on Highway 59 when police arrived. He had a Kansas license plate on his white 2005 Ford Explorer.
Mo Brings Plenty, Cole Brings Plenty’s uncle, is a well-known actor who starred in Yellowstone. He and co-star Cole Hauser have made multiple requests for assistance in finding their nephew.
“My good friend [Mo Brings Plenty’s] nephew is missing,” said Hauser on Instagram. “He was last seen on Easter Eve in Kansas City. If you have any information regarding his whereabouts, please contact the number below or your local police.”
Cole Brings Plenty had a successful acting career, including in The Tall Tales of Jim Bridger and Into the Wild Frontier.
According to a missing person poster, his family reported him missing after he failed to show up for a meeting with his agent for a TV show, which was unusual for him.
“If anyone knows where my son Cole Brings Plenty is, please tell him to call me,” his father Joseph Brings Plenty Sr. posted on Facebook at the time of his abduction. His family is quite concerned for him.
“Last seen on Easter morning in the early hours. Since he hasn’t returned my calls or messages, several of our family and friends in the region are searching for him. I love you, son. Please message me on your phone to get in touch.
