Heartbreaking report on Celine Dion’s health is hard to take – ‘her voice is just not coming back’

Since her heartbreaking diagnosis of Stiff Person Syndrome, a neurological illness that causes muscle rigidity and agonizing spasms, singer Celine Dion has been on a roller coaster of highs and lows.

Unfortunately, this ailment compelled her to retire from singing and performing, as well as from a variety of other activities she had pursued her entire life.

In the past year, the singer made two videos on her social media, one in English and another in French, in which she claimed that owing to her chronic illness, she is unable to “sing the way I’m used to.”

She noted that the muscle spasm affects every area of her daily life. “It’s been extremely hard for me to face these obstacles and talk about everything that has happened to me,” she said. “I’ve had health problems for quite some time.” Her tours have been postponed yet again. “I can only sing,” Dion explained. “I’ve done that my entire life. And it is what I am most enthusiastic about.”

Her sister Claudette just offered an update on Dion’s condition.

“We are crossing our fingers in the hope of finding a cure for Celine’s terrible condition. “The spasms are uncontrollable,” Claudette explained.

“You know how people frequently wake up unexpectedly owing to a thigh or calf cramp? It’s similar to that, but it affects all of her muscles. There’s little we can do to alleviate her pain.”

“She’s making every attempt to regain her health. “She’s a resilient woman,” she said, complimenting her sister.

Claudette explained that Dion is cared after by her other sister, Linda, and that her children are also with her.

Last November, Dion made a rare public appearance at a hockey game in Las Vegas. She looked wonderfully radiant, giving her followers optimism that she would get better and her health would improve much more.

Unfortunately, the All by Myself singer is also battling vocal cord troubles.

According to Radar Online, Dion is determined to perform again, even if it means getting on stage in a wheelchair.

Dion is currently getting rigorous therapy. Sadly, her sister told that the prognosis is not good.

“She doesn’t have control over her muscles—and vocal cords are muscles,” Claudette told the National Enquirer last year.

“It’s true that both our and her dreams involve returning to the stage. In what capacity? “I don’t know,” she said.

According to reports, persons suffering with this illness may be forced to use a wheelchair, although this is not what troubles Dion the most. In fact, she is more concerned about the risk of losing her voice.

“Celine would be content just sitting in a chair and singing to entertain her audiences,” a source told Radar Online. “But her voice isn’t recovering in a way that would allow her to perform or record again.

“Her vocal cords spasm. She may sing normally for a few notes, just like Celine, before a spasm occurs, throwing what she’s singing utterly out of sync.

“Sadly, it’s doesn’t seem to be repairable, whether through surgery or therapy.”

We are really sorry to hear this. Our thoughts and prayers are with Celine Dion, and we all hope she can perform again in the future, as she wishes and hopes.
