Brad Pitt may have once been called the most eligible bachelor on the planet. But not any longer.
Fans have known about his romance with Ines de Ramon for some time; the couple is supposed to have arranged a low-key week to commemorate his 60th birthday.
According to PEOPLE, Pitt was not in the mood to celebrate his sixth decade after entering it on Monday. It tells a lot about his devotion to De Ramon, then, that he wanted to spend his time with her.
Last month, a source told PEOPLE that De Ramon, the ex-wife of actor Paul Wesley, was “Brad’s first proper relationship since the divorce” from Angelina Jolie.
Indeed, the Troy actor is reported to have begun referring to the 32-year-old as his girlfriend.
“He introduces Ines as his girlfriend,” according to a source. “It’s great to see him in such good spirits.” Ines brings him great joy.”
Pitt’s road back to happiness has been rough, as his marriage to Angelina Jolie ended in a turbulent divorce, the wounds of which do not appear to have totally healed.
The A-listers, branded ‘Brangelina’ in the media, fell in love on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith, beginning on a romance that made headlines around the world.
However, Jolie filed for divorce in 2016, alleging irreconcilable differences. She also filed for exclusive custody of the couple’s six children, Maddox, Pax, Shiloh, Zahara, Vivienne, and Knox.
Angelina Jolie emailed Brad Pitt on January 21, 2021, and the email has since been made public. She says in the email that she writes “with a heavy heart” to inform Pitt of her intention to sell Miraval, “a business centered on alcohol.” This could be a reference to the now-infamous plane incident in which Pitt “choked” one of their children and then “struck another in the face” before pouring wine on her and the children.
Brad was recently in the news for a less-than-savory reason, after an old Instagram story surfaced in which his adoptive son Pax called him a “f****ing awful human being.”
Pax, who was 16 at the time, complained to his father and told him that “the truth will come to light someday.”
“You prove yourself to be a terrible and despicable person time and time again,” Pax wrote over an image of his father collecting the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor.
“You show no regard or empathy for your four youngest children, who tremble in fear when they are in your presence.”
“You will never understand the harm you have done to my family because you are unable to comprehend it.”
“You have made the lives of those nearest to me a constant hell,” the teen went on. “You may tell yourself and the world whatever you wish, but the truth will come to light someday.”
