Former President Jimmy Carter, according to latest sources, has entered hospice care. According to The Carter Centre, the 39th president’s decision to enter hospice comes after numerous hospitalizations.
“After a series of brief hospital stays, former US President Jimmy Carter chose to spend his remaining time at home with his family and receive hospice care rather than additional medical intervention.” His family and medical personnel are fully supportive.”
Carter is the oldest living president, at 98 years old. According to CNN, he has held that record since 2018, when George H.W. Bush died at the age of 94.
Carter has had a number of health issues in recent years. In 2015, he overcame brain cancer, and in 2019, he underwent brain surgery to relieve the rising pressure.
Jimmy is a former US president, a retired peanut farmer, a US Navy Lieutenant, a Sunday school teacher, and a retired peanut farmer. He also volunteers for Habitat for Humanity and was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2002.
Carter lives in Plains, Georgia, with his wife, Rosalynn Carter. Their four children are Amy, Donnel, Jack, and James.
