Matthew’s Perry’s death has sparked speculation: did he relapse?
Actor Matthew Perry was a beloved person, and his sudden death has left many wondering about what happened. His hot tub drowning has sparked a lot of speculation, leading to hypotheses regarding his health and possible drug use. More hints begin to surface as Kayti Edwards, Perry’s ex-girlfriend and former aide, offers her perspective.
Edwards, who worked closely with Perry in the years that followed and dated him in 2006, feels that some facts don’t quite line up. She expressed her reservations about the official explanation in an interview with The Sun.
“I don’t believe he just drowned in his Jacuzzi, that doesn’t sound right,” Edwards declared forcefully. Knowing Matthew, I can assure you that he wouldn’t have simply drowned.
What might be the final puzzle piece, in Edwards’ opinion? She brings up the potential for a relapse. According to Edwards, Perry may have used drugs before to his death, based on a recent social media post. Knowing Perry well, she calls attention to his changed behavior by making more frequent posts than normal.
In his most recent post, he also introduced himself as “Mattman,” a pseudonym he developed because he adores Batman. Perry only accepted this alter ego when he wasn’t sober, according to Edwards. “Mattman would come out when he was not sober and he felt kind of invincible,” the woman remembers.
Watch the video below to hear Edwards’ reasons for believing Perry could relapse and to have a greater understanding of her point of view.
