Pat Sajak talks about his emergency surgery and claims he thought he would pass out from the pain.

Pat Sajak, the host of Wheel of Fortune, had emergency surgery for a plugged bowel and thought he may pass away. He endured severe pain, and he is now discussing the ordeal he underwent while making an appearance on Good Morning America.

Sajak suddenly had “horrific pain” in his stomach as he was returning home from his daily walk with his daughter. He was taken to the hospital right away and given a variety of drugs, but nothing seemed to help.

“I was lying on the bed in the foetal position,” he remarked. They use a variety of drugs to try to manage your discomfort. None of it — not a single thing — worked.

Fortunately, one of the medications began to work and relieved his suffering.

“All of a sudden, I wasn’t thinking about the discomfort,” he said. I suddenly experienced a face coming out of these wonderful hues.

My wife and daughter were conversing in the background, and I could hear them. They were standing close to me, but they sounded far away,” he continued. “They were talking to each other. I remember thinking, without being morbid, that this must be death. I guess this is how death feels.”

While he was worried about his health, he was also worried about his wife and kids and became depressed at the idea of them “having to cope with the fallout.”

He quickly understood that his anxieties were unwarranted and that he was simply high from the medications after the surgery, which went well. It turns out I was only stoned, he laughed.

The doctors were unable to determine what initially led to his obstructed bowel. Since a few weeks ago, I’ve been feeling absolutely fantastic, Sajak said. “I’ve begun working on concerts in the studio again. Nothing popped even after the wheel was spun. Therefore, I think that’s okay.

Co-host Vanna White covered for him while he was off the air. Since they have worked together on the show for more than 37 years, she claimed that hosting it without Sajak seemed strange. The three weeks without him were quite difficult. He was terribly missed. You know, I really can’t image doing this program without him. I also hope that he feels the same way about me, she added.

We appreciate Pat Sajak’s improved health.
