Sadly, WWE Icon Bushwhacker Butch passes away
Bob Miller, better known in the WWE as Bushwhacker Butch, passed away at age 78. Brian Wickens, also known as Bushwhacker Luke, his former wrestling partner, shared the news on his Instagram page on April 3
“Our dear Bob passed away. ā€¯Somethings are beyond the reach of death,” observed Jackie, Luke’s daughter, “People we care about never truly leave us.” Uncle Bob Miller, we shall always adore you till we cross paths again.
During the weekend, Luke disclosed that Butch had arrived in Los Angeles for WrestleMania. He was soon nonetheless sent to the hospital due to a “medication problem.” This reporting did not specify the precise reason of death.
The New Zealander’s long career in wrestling has left the wrestling community in sadness. Butch, who started his professional wrestling career in 1964, was unquestionably a formidable opponent. Before going to the United States, he and Luke formed a partnership in New Zealand, where they were unstoppable.
The Bushwhackers have won numerous championships and have risen to become one of the best tag teams in wrestling history since entering the WWE in 1988. For their accomplishments to the sport, Butch and Luke were welcomed into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2015. In spite of his early passing, he will be fondly recalled by many in the wrestling community.
Bushwhacker Since the turn of the millennium, Butch has been retired. Nonetheless, Butch and Bushwhacker Luke did meet up again in 2021 for meet-and-greets and other exclusive fan events. They continued to operate until Butch’s passing.
In a spooky Wrestle Con promotional post, Luke just informed their fans that time was running out to obtain joint signatures from them.
The Instagram post read, “Due to Butch’s residence in NEW ZEALAND and BOTH OUR AGES, this may be the only chance receiving DUEL AUTOGRAPHS & PICTURES with Both of Us.” Sadly, it would come out that this was true.
Following Butch’s unexpected passing, wrestling professionals and fans have started expressing their condolences. The wrestler Frankie Kazarian tweeted, “RIP Bushwhacker Butch.” Best wishes, sir. I want to thank you for everything, even our lone game together. This breaks my heart.
Wrestling professional The Iron Sheik wrote, “BUSHWHACKER BUTCH I LOVE YOU FOREVER.” YOU ALWAYS MADE ME SMILE, MY FRIEND. In the meantime, Adam Pearce, a representative of WWE, tweeted “Godspeed, Bushwhacker Butch Miller.”
