Prince Harry and Meghan had planned to spend a year away from the UK before returning to royal life.

The Sussex Royals’ every move has been extensively covered by the media, from their spectacular wedding, which was aired and witnessed by more than 29.19 million viewers, to the birth of their son Archie Mountbatten-Windsor in 2019, to stepping aside from their royal duties. It was the same media that forced them to leave the UK and go to the United States.

As evidenced by their work over the past year, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex remain faithful to their duty and service to the United Kingdom and around the world, and have offered their continued support to the organizations they have represented regardless of official role, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s spokesperson said when they announced their decision to step down from their royal duties.

The palace announced that Queen Elizabeth had written stating that by stepping away from the work of the Royal Family, it is not possible to continue with the duties and responsibilities that come with a life of public service. While everyone is saddened by their decision, the Duke and Duchess are still very much loved members of the family.

The British media, as well as several major worldwide periodicals, have lambasted their decision to divorce from the royal family, but Harry and Meghan both decided it was the best thing for their family. During the Oprah interview, which sparked outrage on social media, Harry defended their decision to leave Britain, saying he didn’t want “history repeating itself,” alluding to his late mother.

Prior to their separation with the Firm, Meghan Markle and Harry apparently requested permission to relocate to another Commonwealth country, like South Africa or Canada. The answer, though, was an emphatic nay.

Anything for justice. Since our mere existence was disrupting the hierarchy’s dynamic So we say, ‘All right, fine, let’s get out of here.’ Meghan said in a recent interview with The Cut that she was delighted.

That, for whatever reason, is not something that we were allowed to do, even though several other members of the family do that exact thing, she said, adding that other Royal Family members had gotten the green light for the identical arrangement.

Prince Harry and Meghan may potentially go away for a bit, Manning speculated. A year in South Africa felt like a no-brainer. A document describing the choices was created, and the pair was claimed to prefer the notion of spending a year in Africa.

According to The Mirror, Manning also looked to other royal couples and how they spent their time before royal life entirely took over.

Security and Money were probably the two major issues that derailed it, Low added.

It slid into the sand.  The issues were serious, and there was no willingness to find solutions.

During the infamous all-tell interview, Harry and Meghan stated that they wanted to continue representing the Queen as non-senior-royals and relocate to another Commonwealth country, which is why they lived in Canada before relocating to the United States.

We were saying, ‘OK, if this isn’t working for everyone, we’re in a lot of pain, and you can’t give us the help we need, we can simply take a step back. We can do it in a Commonwealth country, like New Zealand or South Africa, Meghan remarked in the interview.
